ARTISTdirect is putting two of its SnoCore winter/sport/lifestyle touring events on the road simultaneously — the "SnoCore Rock" and the "SnoCore Icicle Ball" tours.
"SnoCore Rock" kicks off February 15 in Providence, RI with a line-up that will headline Alien Ant Farm, who will be joined by Fenix TX and GlassJaw. An opening act is tba. More than 35 shows in major cities are scheduled throughout the U.S.
The 40-date"SnoCore Icicle Ball," February 1-April 1, will feature headliner Karl Denson's
Tiny Universe on most dates, with the rest of the bill varying
city to city (see below for specifics). Artists performing on selected dates include Spearhead, Nikka Costa, Blackalicious,
influential political poet Saul Williams, Ozomati, and Sector 9.
"I am so proud to be able to offer fans an eclectic mix of artists as
we're doing with this year's two SnoCore tours," commented Marc Geiger, vice
chairman, ARTISTdirect. "As happened with Lollapalooza a decade ago, a
number of bands have been broken on SnoCore, and we hope to do it again
this
year. This is a great time of year to put a tour out, especially in
places
that don't usually get regular concerts such as Lake Tahoe, Park City,
and
Vail."
The SnoCore festival is now in its seventh year.
