BERLIN (CelebrityAccess) — SoundCloud's listener subscription service SoundCloud Go has launched in Germany, bringing the total countries where the service is available to seven worldwide.
According to the company, the service offers both online streaming and offline playback of SoundCloud's catalog of more than 135 million tracks.
While the Berlin-based SoundCloud was an early player in streamed music, it was primarily positioned as an advertising-supported DIY service for musicians to host free music on. The company only ventured into the subscription model earlier this year when they launched their ad-free subscription service in the US.
SoundCloud's app is available both on IOS and Android and matches the 9.99 € price point of its competitors. – Staff Writers
