VANCOUVER (CelebrityAccess) — U2 guitarist The Edge took a spill during the first of two shows that the band played at Vancouver's Rogers Arena. The tumble left him with scrapes and bruises, but fortunately, no serious injuries.
A video of the incident shows The Edge walking forward on a stage thrust under a bright spotlight when he apparently misjudges his course and steps off of the edge of the stage.
Following the incident, someone, presumably Mr. Edge himself, posted on the band's Instagram that he was okay, writing, “Didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!! #U2ieTour.”
During the band's performance at the venue the following night, Bono took the opportunity to make some jokes at the expense of The Edge, saying “Somebody said that the Edge had downloaded himself into the audience without asking permission. I thought that was great.”
The band is on the road with their Innocence + Experience tour. – Staff Writers
