LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Music superstars Jay-Z and Kayne West have joined forces to form a new group called The Throne, with an album and an upcoming tour in the works.
Set to be released on August 8th exclusively on iTunes (and August 12th at other retailers,) "Watch The Throne" was recorded at numerous locations around the world, including London and Bath in the UK, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Paris, and New York City.
The album features production work by The RZA, The Neptunes and long-time Kayne collaborator Mike Dean. Artists contributing supporting vocals on tracks on "Watch The Throne" include Frank Ocean, Beyoncé, Curtis Mayfield and Mr. Hudson. The lead-off single from the album "Otis" premiered on July 20th on New York radio Hot 97 20th.
The Throne will be hitting the road in September for a major North American arena tour, which will feature material from the new album as well as music from each performer's back catalog.
