The Who Postpone US Tour

SAN DIEGO (CelebrityAccess) — The Who have announced that they are postponing all remaining dates on their planned 'The Who Hits 50' North American tour.

The band had previously announced that the first four shows of the tour, which was to start in San Diego on Sept. 14th, were being postponed due to a mystery ailment afflicting the band's frontman Roger Daltry.

The ailment proved to be viral Meningitis and doctors have reportedly prescribed a period of rest for Daltry which precludes any touring in 2015.

The band says they are rescheduling dates for their North American outing for Spring, 2016.

"We are very sorry to disappoint our fans in this way. For the last four weeks, I have been in and out of the hospital and have been diagnosed with viral Meningitis. I am now on the mend and feeling a lot better but I am going to need a considerable time to recover. The doctors tell me I will make a complete recovery, but that I should not do any touring this year," Daltry said in a press statement released by the band. – Staff Writers
