The Who Reschedule UK Tour, Announce Royal Albert Hall Dates

LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — Iconic rock band The Who announced that they are postponing their upcoming tour of the Uk until next year.

The series of five UK shows, which was due to start in August, will now take place in conjunction with the newly announced pair of dates at Royal Albert Hall, on March 30th, and April 1st, 2017.

The band said they are revamping their sets and preparing a special acoustic version of Pete Townshend’s Rock Opera Tommy for both the Albert Hall shows and the rescheduled dates.

"This UK set will emulate the historic period around Live At Leeds and Woodstock when the central pivot of The Who’s show was always their performance of TOMMY For Who fans new and old this is something special that hasn’t been done by the band or seen by their audience since 1970," a statement from the band said.

The shows at Albert Hall will serve as benefits to support the Teenage Cancer Trust, a cause which Roger Waters has been a vocal advocate for years. – Staff Writers
