LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation subsidiary Ticketmaster has struck a deal to become the Official Ticketing Provider for the National Basketball Association.
The deal will see Ticketmaster develop a consolidated ticketing platform, the first in the world of major professional sports, that will provide ticket purchasers with all available ticketing options, from both the box office as well as the resale market.
Ticketmaster claims that they will validate each ticket sold on the site, which suggests that secondary market sales of NBA tickets would not be allowed on other websites.
