NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Digital distribution company The Orchard announced that they have appointed Tucker McCrady as EVP & General Counsel.
McCrady has been tasked with overseeing The Orchard's Business & Legal Affairs functions and will be based out of the company's New York offices, reporting to Brad Navin, CEO of The Orchard.
Prior to joining The Orchard, McCrady was a partner with law firm Greenberg Traurig, where he worked on the legal team representing streaming music platform Soundcloud. McCrady specializes in licensing digital services and the monetization of music.
Prior to Greenberg Traurig, LLP, McCrady was at Warner Music Group for six and a half years, where he was associate counsel of digital legal affairs, later managing litigation for the company worldwide as VP. He also served for five years on the Board of Directors of SoundExchange.
“I’ve spent the past ten years of my career helping organizations transition into digital,” McCrady said. “Because The Orchard operates at the cutting edge of that transformation, I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the executive team. With the deep bench of excellent lawyers that the company already has in place, I’m confident we’ll be able to provide an exceptional level of legal guidance and direction, to drive the continuing growth of The Orchard’s platform and expand its commercial reach.” – Staff Writers
