Type O Negative Frontman Peter Steele Dies


NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Type O Negative frontman Peter Steele has died of apparent heart failure at the age of 48.

"Peter passed away last night. As of now it appears to have been heart failure. That's all the details we have right now." the band's manager Mike Renault told CBS via email.

Steele, otherwise known as Petrus T. Ratajczyk, was a native of Brooklyn, New York and handled singing and bass duties for the band. The 6'7" musician, known for his distinctive baritone, also helped with composition for the band.
