UPDATE: Police ID T.I. Concert Shooting Victims


NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Investigators have revealed new details on the shooting that took place at a concert by hip hop artist T.I. at New York's Irving Plaza on Wednesday night that left one person dead and three injured.

Authorities said Thursday that 33-year-old Ronald McPhatter was fatally shot in the stomach during the incident. Brooklyn-based rapper Roland Collins, whose stage name is Troy Ave was shot in the leg.

26-year-old Maggie Heckstall was shot in the leg and 34-year-old Christopher Vinson was shot in the torso. Collins, Heckstall and Vinson are all listed in stable condition, the Washington Post reported.

The rappers Maino and Uncle Murda were on stage when the shooting happened in a third-floor green room, Police said. The incident appears to have been precipiated by a fight between the entourages of Troy Ave and a rival, Maino, AKA Jermaine Coleman, an unnamed Irving Plaza staffer told the New York Post. Investigators have not made any arrests.

The venue is equipped with metal detectors and it is unclear how the firearm entered the building, the New York Times reported. – Staff Writers
