LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Investigators are seeking answers in the death of a 19-year-old Anaheim woman who attended the EDM-focused Hard Music Festival at the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area on Sunday.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Emily Tran was pronounced dead on Monday with an autopsy to determine the cause of death pending.
Tran was taken to the hospital after reporting to the festival's health tent on sunday night. Preliminary tests suggested the presence of methamphetamine and other drugs, but additional tests are required to accurately determine the cause of death, the Times said.
“We are saddened to learn of her death. Safety is always our No. 1 concern,” county parks spokesman Andre Herndon told the Los Angeles Times. “For this event, we worked closely with the concert promoter, law enforcement, emergency medical personnel and security to make sure there is a swift response to any medical emergency.”
