ATLANTA, GA (CelebrityAccess) — Young Thug is facing legal action from a promoter in New York who claims to have lost $360,000 after the rapper skipped a headlining date.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Thug, whose real name is Jeffrey Williams, was reportedly booked by Smyrna-based company YSL Enterprises and Nicholas Fitts to perform at Sahlens Stadium in Rochester, New York on Aug. 13, but failed to do so.
The lawsuit, filed in Cobb County on Jan. 17. alleges that Williams “did not have a valid legal reason for his failure to perform,” the AJC said.
The lawsuit claims that Williams also failed to reschedule the date, but performed in Rochester several months later at a different venue.
Fitts claims in the suit that he lost $201,620 in ticket sales and more than 57,000 in additional costs for the event.
Young Thug’s label, 300 Records, didn’t respond to requests for comment.
