CLEVELAND (CelebrityAccess) AEG and the newly formed Cleveland Concert Company announced March 28 that the city of Cleveland will soon see the InCuya Music Festival.
The companies have teamed with the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame (based in Cleveland) and Destination Cleveland to bring the festival to downtown Aug. 25-26 on Malls A&B, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The lineup and other details are expected to be announced in a few days as the city prepares for the Rock Hall inductions.
AEG said in a statement the festival will tout “the origins, diversity and evolution of rock” and include local artists along with nationally known headliners.
“Cleveland has been waiting a long time for its own unique mainstream music festival, and we’re thrilled to deliver what promises to be an incredible experience to the city that’s widely regarded as the epicenter of rock n roll,” AEG Senior Vice President Joe Litvag said.
With the Hall as a partner, the announcement implies that the festival will have the flair of rock history, and the Hall has sponsored music events in the city, including induction ceremonies in 1997, 2009, 2012, and 2015, according to the Plain Dealer.
The Hall said it was excited to be a partner.
“As the rock and roll capital of world, we should have a summer music festival,” Rock Hall President and CEO Greg Harris said. “The Rock Hall is excited to join AEG and CCC in bringing InCuya 2018 to Cleveland.”
