LONDON, UK (CelebrityAccess) – Annie Christensen has been promoted to A&R director at Island Records, UK.
Christensen, who began her career with Island back in 2003 has steadily been making her way through the company’s ranks ever since.
Together with head of A&R Louis Bloom, Christensen has secured deals with Mumford & Sons, Spring King, Ben Howard, and Hozier among others.
Most recently in 2016, Christensen signed Norwegian sensation Sigrid, who’s since amassed more than 185 million streams, done 2m in global sales, and secured a Top 10 UK hit in “Strangers.”
Commenting on Christensen’s promotion, Bloom said: “Annie has all the attributes that make a great A&R, amazing taste, a genuine passion for music and artists love her. Not only is Annie a colleague she’s also a great friend. This promotion and her success with Sigrid couldn’t be more thoroughly deserved.”
