LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas had a mass evacuation last night as the venue floor flooded with gallons of water.
Mandalay Bay Resort tweeted the information Tuesday evening. The lead apparently came from the Shark Reef Aquarium attraction, according to the Express newspaper in the UK.
Guests and staff were evacuated. Photos showed flooding in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. Water poured through the ceiling and guests attending a conference were moved outside.
“A water leak at Mandalay Bay has affected a portion of the South Convention Centre,” the hotel tweeted. Crews are working to clean up the leak as soon as possible. There are no major disruptions to operations.”
