SUNRISE, FL (CelebrityAccess) — Fans of the slain Florida rapper XXXTentacion will be able to attend a public memorial on Wednesday to bid him farewell.
A tweet from his official Twitter account said the memorial would be held on Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. EST at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida.
According to People Magazine, the rapper’s attorney J. David Bogenschutz confirmed that the memorial would be an open-casket affair, which had been hinted at in the announcement.
“Fans come out and say your final goodbyes,” an e-flyer announcing the event said. “It will be your last chance to see him.”
While the public is invited to the event, their mobile electronics are not, and organizers noted that cell phones and cameras will not be permitted.
“Please leave them at home or in your vehicle,” an e-flyer for the event said. “Any person found with any device of the sort will be immediately turned around at gate or escorted out and will not be allowed back on the premises.”
The 20-year-old rapper, whose real name was Jahseh Onfroy was killed last Monday in an apparent robbery in Broward County. Since his murder, authorities have arrested Dedrick Williams, 22, of Pompano Beach, and charged him with first-degree homicide in connection with the attack, as well as other charges.
A second assailant seen a security video of the attack remains at large.
