(CelebrityAccess) – TIDAL this week has announced a handful of new features and promotions just in time for the holidays, including personalized My Mix playlists, a reprioritized radio function and 99 cent pricing on their introductory subscription plans.
The streaming platform’s new My Mix playlist leverages human-curated playlists with a new advanced algorithm that analyzes data from users’ listening habits to create new tailored listening experiences for subscribers. The feature will automatically generate a series of up to six 50-song compilations that combine hit songs, new music, and classics based on the tracks that a user listens to most often, segmented based on artists and genres. Each mix will be dynamically updated on a regular basis, with very active members seeing new content appear as often as once a day. Users will also be able to save their mixes and download them into the Tidal app for offline listening.
The streaming service has also reprioritized its radio function, which creates 100-song playlists off of artist or song selections using a newly improved algorithm.
Lastly, TIDAL is offering new customers who register before January 2, 2019, the chance to activate a three-month Premium membership for 99 cents (regularly $19.98), or a HiFi membership for $1.99 (regularly $39.98). Once the holiday offer expires, members will be able to continue their subscriptions at $9.99 monthly for Premium and $19.99 monthly for HiFi.
