INDIANAPOLIS (CelebrityAccess) The United Soccer League team Indy Eleven has unveiled plans to build a new stadium in Indianapolis.
The plan, put forward by Keystone Group, would be a “transformational neighborhood development” called Eleven Park filled that will include an office building, retail shops, apartments and a boutique hotel, according to Pan Stadia. The development will be anchored by a 20,000-seat soccer stadium with Indy Eleven the primary tenant.
A plan was also put in place to work with state legislators to provide a mechanism for the development group, the City of Indianapolis, and the Capital Improvement Board to work together to help finance the stadium.
The location of the development will be announced at a later date, according to Pan Stadia.
“This is more than a stadium,” Ersal Ozdemir, CEO of Keystone Group and owner of Indy Eleven, said. “It is the opportunity to create a vibrant community that will attract individuals and families from near and far to live, work and play.
“We believe that the Eleven Park development will improve quality of place in Indianapolis by creating an entirely new neighborhood that will help attract and retain quality workers and families.”
