NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – The NFL and Roc Nation have today (Aug. 30) announced the launch of two new initiatives, Inspire Change apparel and Songs of the Season, as part of their recently announced partnership.
The Inspire Change apparel line, which will be designed by artists and will be available later in the 2019 season, will fund and support Inspire Change programs across the U.S. Proceeds from the venture will support organizations committed to the key priorities of Inspire Change: education and economic empowerment, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform.
Songs of the Season is a multi-tier, season-long initiative that will highlight both superstars and emerging artists across all genres. As part of the program, participating musicians will create and deliver a song that will be integrated into NFL promotions each month throughout the season. The songs will debut during an in-game broadcast and will be simultaneously released to all digital streaming platforms (DSPs) worldwide. All proceeds from the songs will also go toward Inspire Change.
Additionally, Meek Mill, Meghan Trainor and Rapsody have been announced as the first Inspire Change advocates of the 2019 NFL Season. They will perform a free concert at the NFL Kickoff Experience presented by EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL ’20 in Chicago’s Grant Park on Thursday, September 5. Also performing will be Chicago-based DJ Pharris.
Earlier this month, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation entertainment agency announced a controversial long-term partnership with the NFL that will see the influential rapper and entrepreneur assisting the league in selecting musical acts for the Super Bowl and other major NFL events, as well as serving as its official partner in its Inspire Change campaign.
