PALM SPRINGS, CA (CelebrityAccess) — On Thursday, AEG Facilities announced the appointment of Rob Hampton as General Manager of the Palm Springs Convention Center.
Under the terms of AEG Facilities’ deal with Palm Springs, Hampton and his team will be responsible for facility operations, event programming and content development, purchasing, vendor services, advertising and marketing of the facility.
The Palm Springs Convention Center offers 261,000 square feet of flexible showcase floor space located in downtown Palm Springs, with more than 1,600 hotel rooms within walking distance of the facility.
The appointment will also see Hampton and his team assume oversight of venue operations for the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism, the Palm Springs Visitor Center and the Welwood Murray Memorial Library.
Additionally, AEG Facilities will develop and execute marketing plans to promote tourism to the City of Palm Springs, and work to improve the city’s Visitor Center, AEG Facilities said.
