Bandsintown For Artists Launches With Free Geo-Targeted Messaging To Fans and, More

(Hypebot) — Bandsintown Manager has relaunched as Bandsintown For Artists. The revamped platform adds free geo-targeted messaging to fans and other improvements that build upon concert discovery platform Bandsintown’s ongoing commitment to enhance the connection between artists and fans through live music.

Starting today, Bandsintown for Artists is available free to the more than 510,000 registered artists on Bandsintown to upload tour dates and promote to the platform’s 50 Million registered users

and via the more than 130 million monthly fan interactions on Billboard, Google, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon Alexa and other top sites across the web.

Improved Geo-Targeted Messaging

Spotify, Apple Music and other music services don’t allow artists to message their fans directly and social media platforms like Facebook use algorithms to determine who sees a post. This creates a barrier between the artist and their fans. Bandsintown has always taken a different approach by enabling direct-to-fan messaging to Bandsintown trackers (followers) directly through email and push notifications.

Target by LocationNew posting capabilities include scheduling and geo-targeting messages by location. That means that artists and their teams can send more personalized messages to fans on Bandsintown as well as sync them across Facebook and Twitter simultaneously. They can also use Bandsintown’s free direct messaging service to promote new music releases, videos, merch and more.

Many top artists already use Bandsintown to post to their fans including Ariana Grande, David Guetta, Death Cab for Cutie, Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, Pitbull, Post Malone, Shawn Mendes, Sheryl Crow, Taylor Swift, Twenty One Pilots, Zac Brown Band and more.
