(CelebrityAccess) — The launch of an ‘official’ new Instagram account for the pioneering new wave band Talking Heads has fueled speculation that the group is preparing for a reunion.
So far, nothing has been posted on the Instagram account except for a link to a Talking Heads merch page.
Formed in 1975 by David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison, the Talking Heads combined punk and art rock with world beat sounds to create some of the most memorable and critically acclaimed albums of the era.
Their albums include “Talking Heads: 77,” “Stop Making Sense,” and the Brian Eno-produced “More Songs About Buildings and Food” among others. A 2020 reunion would line up with the 40th anniversary of the release of their critically acclaimed 1980 album “Remain in Light.”
The band last performed publicly way back in 2002 when they were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
