MANCHESTER, UK (CelebrityAccess) — Oasis, the pioneering 1990s-era Britpop band, appears to be teasing something that fans hope might be a long-awaited reunion.

Oasis, which was co-founded by brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, hinted to fans that something was in the offing when mysterious post showing only a time and date — 8 AM on August 27th, appeared on their social media.

The timing for reunion of Oasis makes sense as the band’s debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’ marks its 30th anniversary this year which including some of Oasis’ most successful singles, “Don’t Look Back in Anger” and “Wonderwall”.

According to the Sunday Times, unnamed industry sources further supported the reunion theory, telling the newspaper that Oasis was planning shows at Heaton Park in Manchester, the band’s hometown, and London’s Wembley Stadium in 2025.

Additionally, the Sunday Times reported that a potential headlining slot at Glastonbury next year may be in the offing.

Oasis last toured together in 2009 and split after missing an appearance at V Fest that year amid apparent acrimony between Liam and Noel.

“It is with some sadness and great relief…I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer,” Noel shared during the split.

In 2017, Liam characterized the nature of the discord within the group, stating: “He thinks he’s the man and I think I’m the man, do you know what I mean?”
