LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – Chappell Roan, hot off the heels of her first Grammy nominations, has made headlines for abruptly splitting with her management team at State Of The Art, led by Nick Bobetsky. Bobetsky and Roan had worked together since 2018, but the split has raised eyebrows, especially with Roan being a strong contender at the 2025 Grammys. She’s up for Album of the Year for The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, Record of the Year, Song of the Year for “Good Luck, Babe!”, and Best New Artist.
The split became more apparent when her former management team failed to mention her in their Instagram post celebrating their artists’ nominations. While the post has since been deleted, rumors had already taken off. Former Ticketmaster CEO Nathan Hubbard confirmed the news on the Every Single Album podcast, revealing that top industry managers are now in a frenzy, hoping to work with the rising pop sensation.
In the meantime, Roan has been busy beyond her Grammy nominations. She recently made her debut as a musical guest on *Saturday Night Live*, performing an unreleased track, “The Giver.” She also surprised fans with a debut of “Subway” during her Governors Ball set earlier this year. At just 26 years old, Roan continues to gain momentum with her fresh material and performances.
However, her rapid rise hasn’t been without its challenges. Roan has openly spoken about the toxic dynamics she’s experienced with certain fans, calling some interactions “predatory.” In a candid statement, she said, “I don’t agree with the notion that I owe a mutual exchange of energy, time, or attention to people I do not know, do not trust, or who creep me out — just because they’re expressing admiration.” She also addressed how her experiences reflect a broader issue that many women face, stating, “Every woman is feeling or has felt similar to what I’m experiencing. This isn’t a new situation.”
Despite the turbulence, Roan seems poised for even greater success as the industry waits to see where she soft lands.
