(CelebrityAccess) — Independent Project Records and Jeffrey Runnings, the guitarist, principle vocalist and songwriter of the post-punk band For Against, have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help support Runnings during his battle with stage 4 cancer.
In a post on the GoFundMe campaign page, a rep wrote:
Jeff Runnings, the heart and soul behind the beloved post-punk band For Against, has been a source of inspiration, art, and music for fans worldwide. Today, Jeff is facing his toughest challenge yet: a diagnosis of stage 4 cancer. His fight requires extensive medical treatment, support, and care — costs that quickly add up and are overwhelming.
We’re reaching out to the incredible music and arts community that has followed Jeff’s journey over the years to lend a hand in his time of need. Donations of any size will directly fund his medical expenses, support his daily care needs, and allow him and his family to focus on his recovery with less financial stress. Jeff’s music has given us so much; now it’s our turn to give back.

The post went on to ask well-wishers to refrain from contacting Runnings as he needs time to rest and asked that comments be left at the page instead.
