Agent Vs. Agent: Dennis Arfa Sues Rob Prinz

Dennis Arfa, president/CEO of Artists Group International (AGI) filed a lawsuit against veteran agent Rob Prinz August 7 in New York State Supreme Court citing, among other things, breach of contract, extortionate conduct and fraud in connection with his 1999 purchase of Prinz's agency, Principal Artists Group (PAG) for $4.25 million.

It is reported in the lawsuit that AGI terminated Prinz July 31 and closed his Beverly Hills office, where he showed up the following day to rehire his agency's support staff.

Arfa is seeking $3 million of the original purchase price, enforcement of the non-compete clause and damages for breach of contract or repayment of the total $4.25 purchase price and voiding the acquisition. More to come…
