BOSTON, MA (CelebrityAccess) — Organizers of the Boston Calling Music Festival announced the lineup and a new venue for the 2017 edition of the event.
This year, Boston Calling more than doubles its number of music acts and the lineup, curated by founding member of The National, Aaron Dessner, will feature Tool, Mumford & Sons, and Chance the Rapper headlining the festival.
As well, the festival will have a new venue and this year will take place on the fields of Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston (65 North Harvard Street, Boston) on Memorial Day Weekend, May 26-28, 2017 instead of its usual October timeslot. The new location allows Boston Calling organizers to expand the event, which now includes 45 act lineup performing across three outdoor stages, a new film festival, curated by Natalie Portman, and food, drink and visual arts components.
Other artists on the bill for 2017 include: The xx, Weezer, Major Lazer, The 1975, Sigur Rós, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Nightsweats, Sylvan Esso, Run the Jewels, Cage the Elephant, Francis and the Lights, The 1975, Solange, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Tegan and Sara, Brandi Carlile, Majid Jordan, Flatbush Zombies, Wolf Parade, Mac Demarco, Oh Wonder, Danny Brown, Frightened Rabbit and Modern Baseball.
