LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — British singer Boy George was arrested and released on bail after a 28-year-old man accused the former Culture Club frontman of “false imprisonment and common assault.”
A police spokesman told Reuters that he will appear in court in July. The alleged incident took place in the east London on Saturday.
NME reported that the singer’s brother said George found the allegations annoying, but “hilarious.”
The 45-year-old cross-dressing singer, whose real name is Alan O'Dowd, was arrested last year for cocaine possession, and was ordered to sweep the streets of Manhattan for community service. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
