SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — On Saturday, August 7th, the Pittsburgh Pirates hosted another iconic rocker for their baseball /concert doubleheader, featuring George Thorogood and the Destroyers.
Immediately following the Pirates dramatic walk-off win Saturday night against the Colorado Rockies at PNC Park, fans were treated to a live on-field Post-Game Concert booked and produced by Select Artists Associates (SAA), all for the price of their regularly priced game ticket.
The George Thorogood Post-Game Show helped the Pirates achieve their second Standing-Room-Only Audience in as many concerts, as the PNC Park capacity of 38,362 was once again pushed over the 40,000 plateau due to this 2-for-1 opportunity to see their home town team, plus a rock ‘n roll legend who has played over four decades.
This was the Pirates third Post-Game Concert of the 2010 MLB season, with two-to-go. On September 4th, Country newcomer, Luke Bryan will perform and on September 25th OAR makes their second Pirates Post Game Concert Appearance in as many years.
2010 marks the fifth consecutive season the Pirates have worked with SAA as their exclusive concert production partner. – -by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
