LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Veteran agent Brandt Joel has left CAA for Endeavor where he signed on as a partner, Variety is reporting.
Joel has been the center of some speculation in recent weeks, with CAA reportedly denying rumors regarding his departure but as often seems to be the case with rumors in this business, they were apparently true.
Joel is the second major departure from CAA this week as literary agent David Styne jumped to ICM earlier this week. He won't long for old colleagues at the agency either, according to Variety, earlier defections by Patrick Whitesell and Adam Venit were instrumental in helping Endeavor establish itself as a player with clients like Matt Damon and Ben Affleck.
Joel began his career at UTA before joining CAA where he represented an extensive list of clients, including James Gandolfini and Renee Zellweger to name a few. No word has been released regarding the disposition of his current client list. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
