AMES, IA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Compass Facility Management, which provides management and consulting services to 26 venues across the country, has rebranded itself as VenuWorks.
The change comes as the Iowa-based company celebrates its 10-year anniversary.
The name change is in response to a recent cease and desist letter from U.K.-based food service company Compass Group, according to Billboard, who registered its name in the U.S. in 2006 – 10 months earlier than Compass Facility Management.
Steve Peters, president of the venue management company, told the magazine that the new moniker will help avoid confusion with other facility service companies that operate until the “Compass” name.
“We believe this decision will give us a strong individual identity and allow us to build our core business of managements, events and consulting, and establish goals for all of our employees that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations,” he said in a statement.
VenuWorks has also launched its new website, www.venuworks.com, which will be developed over the next few months. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
