BANGALORE, India (CelebrityAccess) — French DJ and producer David Guetta has pulled out of a scheduled concert in Bangalore, citing security concerns.
According to the Hindustan Times, Guetta was due to perform in the city on Jan 12th, but scrapped the show in the wake of an alleged series of sexual assaults in the city on New Year's Eve that reportedly saw crowds of men groping unwilling women.
“Due to the present law and order situation in Bengaluru following the events that transpired around New Year’s Eve, the authorities have recommended against holding the David Guetta concert scheduled today in the city,” Karan Singh, CEO of promoter Sunburn Global. Percept Live, said in a statement.
“We at Sunburn tried our very best to make it happen but the authorities understandably are not prepared to take any chances. Hence, today’s concert unfortunately stands cancelled,” he added.
