TORONTO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Former EMI Vice President, National Promotions and Media Relations Derrick Ross has joined S.L. Feldman & Associates as its new vice president, Contemporary Music.
Ross, who will be based in Toronto, will have an integral role in the numerous divisions of SLFA, said Sam Feldman, company CEO, in a statement. “Derrick is someone whose 20 years of experience in the music industry will be welcomed and invaluable in helping our new, developing and established talent.”
“His incredible experience in the radio, retail, marketing, promotion and artist development fields will be a tremendous asset as will his knowledge, energy and entrepreneurial spirit.”
Ross leaves EMI Music Canada and an enviable track record of success stories that include Coldplay, Kardinal Offishall, K-OS, Stabilo, Nickelback and Keith Urban among many others.
Deane Cameron, president of EMI Music Canada, says his former colleagues will miss Ross.
“Obviously we are all disappointed at EMI Music Canada to see Derrick leave our family, but he is certainly going to a great new home,” said Cameron. “Derrick has been in and around EMI Music Canada for many years and his impact has been significant. We very much look forward to working with him in his new role at S.L. Feldman and Associates.
