CUPERTINO, CA (Hypebot) – Drake and Pharrell Williams are confirmed to play a role in Apple's music relaunch, multiple sources familiar with negotiations. They denied a multi-million payment, however. The full story:

Streaming music is finally starting to get interesting. Now that we've gotten past the wow factor of having an always available infinite jukebox, digital music's smarter minds are experimenting with how we might want to consume music. Playlists? Moods? Old school style DJs?

Apple has reportedly offered Drake $19 million to be a DJ and spokesperson for its soon to launch revamped iTunes music service. Pharrell Williams and David Guetta are also among the musicians being courted by Apple, according to the New York Post.
The move could be seen as Apple's answer to TIDAL's push for exclusive content from its A-list group of artist-owners including Jay Z, Beyoncé and Madonna.

Apple is expected to announce a new Beats Music powered streaming music service at its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco next Tuesday June 9th.
