GLOUCESTER (CelebrityAccess) — Sir Elton John launched into a tirade at venue stewards during a concert at Kingsholm Stadium, leveling a scathing, profanity laden rant at one steward in particular.
‘You fucking stewards, who do you think you are? This is my fucking concert, who are you? Especially you with the fucking blonde ponytail, you’re a fucking cunt. Yes you, this isn’t fucking China, now piss off. My fans have paid good money and if they want to wave their fucking arms they fucking can. Do you hear me? Now piss off!’ John said to the stewards from stage.
The stewards had been trying to prevent people with cheap seats from moving forward and blocking the view of others at the concert, which was supposed to be a seated affair.
"There were people fighting to get a view of what they were trying to look at and, for some reason, the stewards brought out barriers to try and stop people, but that made them worse because they congregated by the barrier," concert-goer Steven Ward told the BBC.
Sir Elton later recanted on his fury, inviting the steward who had been the target of his rant on stage and offering an apology.
The show's promoter Marshall Arts declined to comment to the BBC, noting that the stewards work for a sub contractor. – Staff Writers
