NEW ORLEANS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In a bold move, organizers for the Essence Music Festival are planning to return the show to the Superdome in the city of New Orleans.
The three day festival will host a main stage as well as the "Essence Superlounge" which will cater to rhythm and blues. The main stage will feature performances by artists such as Ludacris, Ciara, Johnny Gill, Keith Sweat, Robin Thicke, Steve Harvey, Chris Brown, Beyonce, Ne-Yo, Maze feat. Frankie Beverly, Lionel Richie, & Mary J, Blige with host Jonathan Slocumb.
The Superlounge will showcase Common, Kenny Latimore & Chante Moore, Pieces of A Dream, Rachelle Ferell, Rahsaan Patterson, Najee, Slum Village, Will Downing, Angie Stone, Chuck D with Public Enemy, Kindred, Lyfe Jennings & Sunshine Anderson.
The festivities are set to kick off on Thursday, July 5 and run until Saturday, July 7 and tickets are on sale now. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
