LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers has postponed two shows due to Petty's sinus and threat infection.
The band was scheduled to play tonight's concert at Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA and has rescheduled until October 5th. The concert at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, AZ, which was to take place on September 26th, has also been rescheduled and will now take place on Thursday October 7th.
"Tom’s doctors have advised him not to perform for the next few days but expect that he will be fully recovered for shows this coming weekend," according to the band's website.

10/1 – Hollywood Bowl – Los Angeles, CA
10/2 – Verizon Wireless Amphitheater – Irvine, CA
10/5 – Cricket Wireless Amphitheater – San Diego, CA (rescheduled from September 28)
10/7 – US Airways Center – Phoenix, AZ (rescheduled from September 26)
