CAYMAN ISLANDS (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Iggy And The Stooges have been forced to scrap their upcoming U.S. tour after the band's frontman Iggy Pop broke his foot during the band's headlining gig at the Peninsula festival in Romania.
During his performance, Iggy stepped on a mic stand in an unusual place on the stage and injured his foot. In a video of the performance, Iggy can be heard to yell 'I think I broke my foot' and clearly seems to be in significant pain, but finished out his set.
After Iggy retreated to his Caymen Islands fastness to recuperate, doctors discovered he had broken to metatarsal bones in his foot, sidelining the performer for 6-8 weeks.
"I hate this, I hate like hell to cancel or postpone anything. I only saw the doctor because it hurt so f*****g much and I couldn't fix it myself. Please be patient, I am so excited about these dates on the left coast."
Rescheduled dates for the affected shows will be announced as soon as possible. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
