SPRINGFIELD, Il (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Increased admission prices at the Illinois State Fair have helped to lift ticket and parking revenue of about $1.5 million, about 33 percent above last year.
The fair boosted admission prices by $2 this year to $7 dollars, while admission prices for children and seniors was raised to $3 from $1 last year. Parking held steady at $7.
Attendance at the fair is up as well, with a total attendance of almost 1 million to date, up by 12.7% over 2011. Concert tickets sales at the fair saw improvement as well, up 4% and the highest in the past 12 years at 51,732. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
