Inaugural Bridgeport Blues Festival Set For August 30-31

In conjunction with the City of Bridgeport, Terrapin Presents will inaugurate the Bridgeport Blues Festival

on Labor Day weekend, August 30-31, at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT. The festival incorporates the traveling B.B. King Music Festival ( B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Galactic and Mofro ) as well as Robert Cray, James Cotton, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Chuck Berry, James Brown, Marcia Ball and The Holmes Brothers.

"Terrapin is truly honored to be working with this group of world-class musicians," says Ken Hays, founder and president of Terrapin Presents. "From jazz to rock and R&B to hip-hop, the blues is the foundation for virtually every form of 'American Music' as we know it today. History will remember many of the artists performing at Bridgeport Blues as pioneers and heroes."

The Bridgeport Blues Festival marks Terrapin's return to the 370-acre Seaside Park, where its multi-day camping, music and arts festival, Gathering of the Vibes, experienced a pair of triumphant years in 1999 and 2000. Tickets are priced at $50 a day and $80 for a two-day two-day pass; kids 12 and under are free.
