Japanese Management Company Office Augusta Signs With Universal


TOKYO (CelebrityAccess) — Japanese artist and music management company Office Augusta announced a tie-up with Universal Music that will see the label giant obtain exclusive rights for the entire Office Augusta master recording and publishing catalogues.

Office Augusta, which was established in 1992 by Yoshinobu Morikawa, today represents a roster of Japanese recording artists and songwriters, including Kyoko, Masayoshi Yamazaki, Sukimaswitch and Motohiro Hata, among many others.

Office Augusta music unit manages recorded music and master rights for nearly 1800 tracks, artist management for its roster of 19 artists and a live music promotions business that includes the popular Augusta Camp music festival.

Their publishing unit, Augusta Publishing, represents the publishing rights more than 1,200 songs, written and composed by its artists and Augusta also operates Seven Dials, a fan club, and merch business for its clients. – Staff Writers
