Jason Spiewak Named President, Rock Ridge Music

NEWARK, NJ (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jason Spiewak, a principal with Rock Ridge Music, has been named president of the label by CEO Tom Derr.

The label moved its headquarters to larger office space in Newark, New Jersey this week, due to the company's growth, which is also the reason the time came to assign job titles to the growing staff. Rock Ridge Music offers its artists a label, artist management (if needed), national distribution, and a place to develop and maintain a solid career in the music business.

“On behalf of myself and the Rock Ridge Music partners, there is no one better to steer the ship and have our backs," says Derr.

“I’m so proud of our company’s growth to this point," says Spiewak, who was profiled on CelebrityAcess/Encore, April 7, 2006. It’s an exciting time in our industry, and Rock Ridge Music is in position to be a leader in music as opportunities develop in new media.”

Spiewak began his involvement on the label side of the music business at Artemis Records, where he worked his way up from assistant to product manager. He left Artemis and served as label manager at the now-defunct Studio E Records. Prior to joining Rock Ridge, he was New Media manager at TVT Records. Spiewak is also a studio musician, solo artist and songwriter and has worked as a producer on a number of Rock Ridge releases, including the forthcoming Chris Volz and Halfdown Thomas albums. Recently, Spiewak has also been doing some songwriting with Rock Ridge Music management client The Revere. — Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
