DENVER, CO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – After drawing crowds into downtown Denver for the past 13 years, the organizers of the LoDo Music festival have announced that this year’s event, to be held on June 17th and 18th, will be the last.
“What we set out to do, we accomplished,” Al Krazer, the head of Performance International and an organizer for the festival since its inception, told the Rocky Mountain News. “It’s time to move on to something else. It’s not easy to give up on something you’ve invested your life in.”
Krazer cited competing entertainment, downtown development, and the loss of its main sponsor, Cingular, as reasons for the decision.
This year’s show will feature The Samples, Chuck Prophet, Brave Combo, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Sonny Landreth, The Radiators, John Brown’s Body, and the B-Side Players. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
