LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has signed a three-year deal with Royal Parks to continue to produce popular festivals such as Hard Rock Calling and the O2 Wireless Festival there.
According to New Music Week, several bidders were invited to submit proposals, but the Royal Parks Agency settled on Live Nation.
The promoter has been producing events at the park for more than 10 years, including last year's Live 8 event, Picnic in the Park, Party in the Park, Hard Rock Calling and other events.
"Hyde Park is a unique venue in the middle of a unique city," Live Nation festival director John Probyn said "We intend to continue to bring the very best in music and entertainment to the heart of the community. I am delighted that we can continue to develop shows in Hyde Park and work with the professional agencies who support us such as Royal Parks, Westminster City Council, the Metropolitan Police and our partners." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
