SANTA BARBARA (CelebrityAccess) — Police at the University of California Santa Barbara detained Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco during a concert on Nov. 14, thinking he was an unruly concert-goer.
According to the Santa Barbara Independent, UCSB police officers interrupted the show several times, shining a light into the crowd, and arrested several people, including a 22-year-old non-student male for allegedly fighting and another 21-year-old female for allegedly moshing.
The show was interrupted a second time after DeMarco was lifted into the ceiling beams by the crowd while crowd surfing. Police detained him outside briefly until they realized he was actually performing at the show. Upon identifying DeMarco, he was released, but the show had been ended. – Staff Writers
