NEW YORK (VIP-NEWS) — Award-winning duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and manager Zach Quillen are expanding their team, hiring long-time booking agent Josh Dick of The Agency Group.
Dick will join the team responsible for independently releasing the band’s platinum-selling album, The Heist, and launching the careers of one the most innovative and popular hip-hop duos of today.
"Bringing Josh on board was a natural fit for us,” explains Quillen. “We have been friends and colleagues for nearly 15 years. When it came time to expand, there was no other choice in my mind. He`s one of very few people I`d trust to join our team.”
On working with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis as well as Quillen on managing the hip-hop duo’s career, Josh Dick said, "While there`s so much I`ll miss from my time at The Agency Group, I’m beyond thrilled to be reuniting with Zach and joining him, Ben and Ryan to embark on the next chapter of my life. I`ve watched every step of this incredible journey, and am honored to now be a part of that on the management side."
Dick brings with him 15 years of industry experience. “His knowledge and expertise will play a vital role in growing the business,” added Quillen.
As a senior booking agent at The Agency Group alongside Peter Schwartz, Josh helped build one of the most profitable and acclaimed rosters in hip-hop, including A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Trinidad Jame$, among others. Effective immediately, Dick will relocate to Seattle. The duo will continue to be booked by The Agency Group with Peter Schwartz as the U.S agent and James Rubin handling international.
