LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Knitting Factory Entertainment has announced that they've promoted Mark Dinerstein to the post of Senior Vice President to oversee the company's new Business Development division. Dinerstein will be based out of the company's Los Angeles offices and will be stepping away from his role as Senior Talent Buyer for Knitting Factory Presents.
“Brand Development, venue acquisition, facilities management solutions and new revenue streams are the foundation of the new division,” said Dinerstein, adding that “Knitting Factory Entertainment manages additional brands just as carefully as our own; taking just as much pleasure and pride in helping other brands grow.”
Recent projects that fall under Dinerstein’s purview include KFE’s recently-announced partnership with the Downtown Long Beach Associates on their 2014 New Year’s Eve attracting 12,500 patrons to downtown Long Beach and a five-year agreement to operate the historic Wilma Theatre in Missoula, Montana, as part of the expansion of Knitting Factory Facilities .
A graduate of Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business, Dinerstein began his career in Houston, Texas as a regional Talent Buyer at PACE Concerts, LTD / Clear Channel Entertainment, covering Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, moving to KFE in 2006 as Los Angeles talent buyer and interim buyer for Knitting Factory New York. In 2007 he was promoted to regional talent buyer when Knitting Factory Entertainment completed an acquisition of Bravo Entertainment with facilities in Boise, ID & Spokane, WA and was again promoted, this time to Senior Talent Buyer, in 2010 after the completion of Knitting Factory in Reno, NV. – Staff Writers
