NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rumors are circulating around the music industry that Sanctuary CEO Merck Mercuriadis is leaving the troubled company’s management, following the departures of both Andy Taylor and Rod Smallwood, the two main principals of the publicly traded company.
Mercuriadis will reportedly be taking mega-client Axl Rose with him, but Elton John will stay with the U.K.-based Sanctuary. Hits Daily Double reports that an agreement between John and the company will allow for Mercuriadis to continue working for the pop icon, with what an insider described to the magazine as “a non-typical key man clause.”
Rumors point to Front Line Management as Mercuriadis’ possible landing spot, but nothing has been confirmed by the industry vet. The futures of Merck’s other Sanctuary clients are uncertain at press time. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
