LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Australian singer Nick Cave, frontman for the Bad Seeds, has been tapped to present this year's Turner Prize.
Cave joins a list of other artists and performers such as Madonna and Dennis Hopper who have presented the controversial contemporary arts prize which is awarded annually at the Tate Gallery in England.
Cave founded the Bad Seeds in 1983 and has released 14 studio albums, all of which have charted in the UK. Cave & The Seeds have picked up four ARIA awards, including being inducted in the Hall of Fame last year.
Four artists have been nominated for this year's prize: Cathy Wilkes, Goshka Macuga, Runa Islam and Mark Leckey. The winner will be announced on December 1st. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
