Northwell Health Signs Naming Rights Deal At Jones Beach

WANTAGH, N.Y., (CelebrityAccess) — Northwell Health, a New York-based private healthcare system, has signed a multi-year naming rights agreement that will see the Jones Beach Theater renamed as Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.

The deal includes signage, posters, graphics and banners at the venue, and parking areas, and will see Northwell Health become the 'official health care partner' for the 14,000-seat amphitheater. Northwell will also offer health screenings and other health-related activities at the venues, the companies said.

Originally known as Jones Beach Marine Theater, the amphitheater was designed to specifications provided by Robert Moses. From its opening in 1952 until 1981, the theater primarily hosted musical productions. The primary focus of the venue then changed to concerts. During the 1990s, the theater underwent two expansions that increased seating from 8,200 to 11,200 and then to its current capacity of 14,000.

Along with the official renaming of the venue, Live Nation, who operate the venue on behalf of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, plans to announce the full lineup for the shed for its 2017 season. Artists already announced include Dave Matthews, Train, Florida Georgia Line, Third Eye Blind, Lady Antebellum, Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper, Foreigner and Cheap Trick, Chicago and the Doobie Brothers, and Brad Paisley.

The financial terms of the sponsorship agreement were not disclosed. – Staff Writers
